Frequently Asked Question:

What animals do you bring?

Our animal lineup may include reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, and fascinating invertebrates. The exact animals can vary depending on their health, comfort, and availability. Animal welfare always comes first.

What areas do you serve?

Expedition Critters provides mobile animal presentations throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding Southern California communities. Contact us with your event address to confirm availability and any travel fee.

How long is the presentation?

Presentation length depends on the package selected. Each experience includes educational animal introductions, interesting facts, and supervised opportunities to interact with select animals.

How many guests can attend?

The number of guests depends on the event package and available space. For larger groups, we may recommend multiple presentations so everyone can see, hear, and enjoy the animals safely.

Can children touch or hold the animals?

Guests may be able to gently touch select animals under the direct supervision of an Expedition Critters presenter. Holding opportunities depend on the animal, the guest’s age, and the animal’s comfort that day.

Are the animals safe?

Our animals are carefully selected for educational presentations and handled by an experienced presenter. Guests must follow all instructions, remain calm, and treat every animal gently. Because animals can behave unpredictably, interaction is always supervised.

What ages are your presentations designed for?

Our presentations can be adapted for children and adults of all ages. We adjust the information, vocabulary, and level of interaction to fit the age and needs of each group.

What types of events do you attend?

We provide educational animal experiences for birthday parties, schools, classrooms, libraries, community programs, camps, scout groups, childcare centers, and other special events.

Can the presentation be held outdoors?

Yes, when weather conditions are safe for the animals. We require a shaded, secure area away from excessive heat, cold, wind, rain, loud music, and other animals. We may need to move indoors if conditions become unsafe.

How much space do you need?

We need a clean, level presentation area with enough room for our equipment, animals, presenter, and guests. Children should have a designated seating area, and the space must be separated from pets and heavy foot traffic.

What should we provide?

Please provide a safe presentation area, nearby parking for unloading, and an adult who can help keep children seated and attentive. Depending on the location and package, access to shade, electricity, or a table may also be requested.

What happens if a scheduled animal cannot attend?

Animals are never required to participate if they appear stressed, uncomfortable, or unwell. We may substitute another animal without advance notice. A specific animal’s appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Can you accommodate guests who are nervous around animals?

Yes. No guest is ever required to touch or hold an animal. Nervous guests may watch from a comfortable distance and participate only when they feel ready.

What hygiene precautions do you follow?

Guests should wash their hands with soap and water after touching animals and before eating or drinking. Hand sanitizer may be used temporarily, but it does not replace proper handwashing. Food should remain outside the animal presentation area.

Can guests eat during the presentation?

For everyone’s safety, we ask that guests not eat or drink while interacting with the animals. Food should be served before or after the presentation, and all guests should wash their hands after animal contact.

Can pets be present?

All household pets must be secured in a separate area before we arrive and remain separated throughout the presentation. This helps protect our animals, your pets, and your guests.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, holidays, and school events. Your date and time are not reserved until the booking requirements and deposit have been completed.

How do we reserve a date?

Contact Expedition Critters with your preferred date, time, event address, type of event, esti

mated number of guests, and children’s age range. We will confirm availability and provide the

booking details.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Available payment methods will be provided when you book. Any remaining balance must be paid according to the terms listed in your event agreement.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits and cancellation terms will be explained before booking. Weather-related changes and rescheduling requests are handled according to availability and the terms of your event agreement.

What makes Expedition Critters different?

We want every encounter to feel like a mini expedition! Instead of simply showing animals, we in

troduce guests to their unique personalities, adaptations, habitats, and behaviors while encouraging curiosity and respect for wildlife.

Can we take pictures during the presentation?

Yes! We encourage guests to capture memories of their Expedition Critters experience, as long as photography doesn't interfere with the animals or presentation.
